Use a free Lawtopolis account. The profile moves to this account once the claim is complete.

2

Submit verification details

Your bar or license number, a work email at the firm's domain, a work phone and how we can confirm it is you.

3

We check an official source

Staff confirm attorneys with the state bar or regulator, and firms with their own website, business registry or published phone number.

4

Pay to take over

Approved claims pay for a listing term from the account page. The profile transfers the moment payment completes.

Only one verified owner can manage a profile. Claims that cannot be confirmed are declined, and false claims may be reported to the licensing authority.

Overview

How to claim an attorney profile

To claim an attorney profile, first sign in with a free Lawtopolis account. The profile will move to this account once the claim is complete.

Next, submit your verification details. For attorneys, that means your licensing state and bar number. In addition, give us a work email at the firm’s own domain, a work phone number and a short note on how we can confirm you. You can also attach a bar card or letterhead.

Then our staff check a source you do not control. For example, we use the state bar’s lookup for attorneys, and the firm’s website or business registry for firms. If everything matches, we approve the claim.

Finally, pay for a listing term from your account. As soon as payment completes, the profile transfers to you. You can confirm bar directories through the list of state bar directories.

Only one verified owner can manage a profile. As a result, a second claim on the same profile closes automatically once the first one is completed.
