Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details you give us: name, email address and password (stored hashed).

  • For professionals: listing details and, for attorneys, licensing details used for verification.
  • For profile claims: the verification details you submit and any document you upload. Only our verification staff can see them.
  • For profiles suggested by the public: the name and email of the person who suggested it, which we never show publicly.
  • Course progress, saved topics and messages you send through the site.
  • Standard server and security logs.

Overview

Our privacy policy in brief

This privacy policy covers the information you give us and the information the site collects as you use it. First, we collect account details, such as your name and email address. Next, we collect order details we need to process purchases.

Card payments go through our payment processor, so we never store full card numbers. Likewise, documents you upload to claim a directory profile are visible only to our verification staff.

You have choices. For example, you can update your details from your account at any time. In addition, you can ask us to delete your account by contacting us, and you can control cookies in your browser.
